A BearLock is a gearbox lock for cars and campers. It’s a mechanical security system that serves as a fully integrated vehicle lock to prevent theft.

How does a Bearlock work?

A BearLock is simple to use and works like a lock on a front door. The system can be activated by putting a manual campervan in reverse (R-mode) and an automatic in park (P-mode). After this, the key can be removed from the lock. A steel pin then blocks the gearbox, preventing the van from being moved. When ready to depart, you can simply insert the key again, flip it, and you’re ready to drive.
