The first Covid lockdown made us reconsider our plans for traveling. Flying to other continents with the serious issues and uncertainties of this era is not a good idea anymore. It was going to be difficult.

Old dream
The situation caused an old dream of mine to pop up again: travelling through Europe in a camper. Complete freedom to go when you want, where you can go and no need to book accommodations in advance.

Innovative concept
I came across Ventje on the internet where i found an article about it’s beautiful innovative concept. On a warm day in June we had a closer look at Ventje at the workshop. We asked all our questions and received more background information. I was convinced immediately that this compact van, easy to drive and to park everywhere, very practical and innovative, has been thoroughly thought through. Bies was very enthousiastic too, especially when he learned that Volkswagen campers keep their value over time.

Long travels
The ideal Volkswagen bus for us was found in July. Ventje built in a beautiful interior and out Ventje was ready at the beginning of October. What a feast! We started touring through the Netherlands for a week and we were more than satisfied. More of this please! We will make many more short trips in the coming year and are now planning longer trips after September next year. Europe, here we come!
